All About Saltwater-Fishing

Saltwater-fishing covers a wide spectrum of fishing styles, techniques and species. This covers everything from estuary fish to those offshore and worldwide there are so many species to go for, most all resulting in a great meal.

My very first fishing experience was Pier Fishing , and while that first fish was very small, the thrill of that first "tug-tug-tug" and hooking of the fish also hooked me for a lifetime on salt-water fishing.

Very quickly I graduated to Surf Fishing and Beach Fishing and I still to this day love being on a lonely beach casting into a gutter after various species.

In fact a bought my house just a few hundred yards from a great, deserted beach that has great beach-fishing. Some of my best sunrises and sunsets are on that beach with a line thrown in, and if I don’t catch anything, then that’s okay as well.

Because my father was keen on open sea fishing it wasn’t long before I started Ocean Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing . So many times we sat offshore, sometimes in lumpy swells, and sometimes seasick as well. But it was great to catch some serious sized fish to take home.

These days the average trailer-boat has become very sophisticated as have the electronics that go with chasing your favourite saltwater-fishing species.

To this day I still haven’t experienced the ultimate big game fish thrill of Marlin Fishing or Tuna Fishing . Of course there are those who just go Shark Fishing .

Fishing has got a lot more species specific these days, and many fishermen simply chase one particular species as their primary target. Some go Snook Fishing , or Musky Fishing , or is that Muskie Fishing ? Then there are those that go Walleye Fishing , or Striper Fishing , and also Tarpon Fishing and Halibut Fishing . Saltwater-fishing offers so many fishing options.

Who Am I?

My name is JOHN C PAYNE, and some of you already have one of my marine electrical or marine electronics books. I am both a qualified and practising marine electrical and electronics engineer and marine surveyor. Lastly I am also a fisherman just like you! I have done lots of work over the years on saltwater-fishing boats and I hope to help you

Some reviews on The Fisherman's Electrical Manual

He speaks our language.....If there was ever a book to make the marine electrical system understandable, this is the book. If there was ever a book that will give every boat owner more confidence about how things work, this is it. If there was ever a book you'll want to carry with you on board, this is the one to have.
